What could make a day at Kings Island even better? Why it’s fire trucks and police cars, that’s what! Every year, Kings Island offers all fire, police, first responders and safety personnel FREE admission to the park and extends a special price on tickets to their families. It’s a great way for families to get to spend time together and to check out the different trucks and vehicles on site.
As you can see, we had some really happy kids who climbed into both the front and back seats of a police cruiser! Now, let’s hope we never see this again in the future, but for now, look at that kid! He loved it!
The free admission is offered to all active fire and police personnel, including firefighters, EMTs, uniformed police officers, state troopers, border patrol agents, investigators, evidence technicians, firearms examiners, crime lab technicians, 911 dispatchers, correction officers, hand writing examiners, intelligence analysts, and investigative assistants. You must bring a valid ID to show your position but it’s so worth it!
The men and women who protect and serve our communities deserve a break every now and then. I know that we’ve done our fair-share of long shifts, working 24 hours or more at a time, missed holidays and such. Been there, done that, and so thankful for those who continue to do so! If you have the chance, load up the family and go!
This was the first time the kids got to do the bumper cars in Planet Snoopy and they absolutely loved them. They didn’t want to do anything else so we did end up there twice but they could have done it all day if we let them!
Be sure to visit Kings Island when you can and check out the special events that happen all year round. There’s always something fun for the family, and you can’t go wrong with a day of fun and good food!
