Almost a year together in this pic
Today, hubs and I are celebrating our ten year “together” anniversary.
Ten years ago, we walked around one of the local parks, walked along the river, found ourselves at Wendy’s and had Frosty’s and then he walked me home. And because I was a bad little 15 year old, I got in trouble because I told my mom I was with a friend. Well that friend had called the house looking for me. Whoops!
ANYWAY. Ahem. It was the start of…

2? cars and 1 minivan
4 dogs
3 kids
raising a special needs child together
dealing with infertility together
working crazy hours, like 24 on and 48 off as an EMT
vacations
holidays
birthdays
deaths
anniversaries
late nights of wrapping presents
late nights of playing video games
our fair share of arguements
our fair share of make-ups
Oh the list could go on and on. I can’t believe that when we met, we were in high school. Just look at how far we’ve come!
He’s a good man. He’s a good daddy. I can’t believe I’m THIS lucky, to be living this life with this man by my side. He was the one person there for me when my mom was diagnosed with cancer and when she passed away. He was right there with me for all three of children’s births. He was the first to see them and to hold them.
All in all, I am so happy that we’ve spent these ten years together and I can’t wait for what’s to come!
