On Monday, we took Chubbs and Hubs’ little sister, Sporty, to COSI in Columbus. COSI, from the outside, is this HUGE river-side building, with a massive parking lot. You almost can’t tell what fun awaits!

Both kids had SO much fun at COSI! We were able to visit every single exhibit and have lunch (more on that in a bit!).
The kids loved the Ocean exhibit, where they could play with water…

The Space exhibit was a bit crowded, and loud for Chubbs, but he eventually started running around and checking everything out.

We loved going through the Progress exhibit! I personally love seeing all the neat items that are around.

The 50’s style diner is soooo cute! The kids had a great time going behind the counter and serving Hubs and I burgers, fries, and shakes!
For being a weekday during the summer, COSI wasn’t that busy! We were pleasantly surprised to be able to see what we wanted, and not have to stand around and wait. We were able to watch the Electrostatic Generator Show, AND the Rat Basketball! We decided to skip the fireworks show, because the loud noises would have freaked out Chubbs. The kids didn’t mind though, especially when we said it was a free-for-all at lunch…

Yes, Chubbs is having a slice of pizza. We decided to let him skip a day of his diet (gluten, casein, banana, beef free) and enjoy some “normal” foods.
Chubbs – slice of pepperoni pizza, apple juice, handful of fries, chocolate pudding “dirt cup”
Sporty – Buffalo chicken wrap, Cheetos, soft drink
Hubs – Buffalo chicken wrap, chocolate pudding, soft drink
Me – cheeseburger and fries, soft drink
Total: $41.52 OUCH!
We had to eat, so we had to pay. My burger was $6.99! One slice of pizza was $3.49! Ouch! For our budget-friendly minds, we felt like we were being robbed. It was standard food, “served it’s purpose” as father in law would say.
So back to the fun!
We went through the life exhibit, shying away from the jarred fetuses, and the mannequins depicting a woman giving birth, and found ourselves checking out illusions, rotten food, and the bodily noises keyboard. “fart fart fart faaarrrtttt”. Oh yes, it was great.

(GROSS!)
We also went to the limited-time only EGYPT exhibit, which I thought ROCKED! We couldn’t take many pictures, but we did see a REAL MUMMY and her coffin! Sporty thought it was pretty neat and we read all of the information together.

After spending SIX hours at COSI in Columbus, Ohio…. we had painful feet, smiles on our faces, and a robot arm to chase the dogs with…

And yes, Chubbs takes after me in the looks department, and Sporty looks just like her big brother, Hubs!
THANK YOU COSI for our great day! We cannot wait to go back!
