The kitchen is one of my favorite places in our home. Everyone can gather there and talk about their days, you can bring together ingredients to make a delicious meal or a fun dessert. It’s truly the center of the home. Sometimes though, it can seem too dark, or the cabinets are too old, maybe the flooring is just not cutting it anymore. We all have this list of fixes we want done in our home, and quite a few of mine are in the kitchen.
While our cabinets might be okay, they are kind of boring and don’t match the new flooring we had put in when the ceramic tile the previous owners installed started to crack and break. I need to finish painting, and when I finish that, the countertops definitely won’t match. They are old and ugly, chipped and just too dark.
What’s on your list? Here’s a quick look at some kitchen makeover ideas I would love to see in my own kitchen:
Finish painting
Either new cabinets are paint existing
Add pull-outs to lower cabinets for additional organizing/storage space
Add backsplash
New countertops
Figure out what to do along the empty wall (more cabinets?)
Find stools that are the perfect height for the island
Replace the sink and the glass cooktop
Add an eletrical outlet to the island
Now, I have no idea what all of these projects will cost. I haven’t even considered the time committment, but I would absolutely love to win the Wellborn Cabinet Dream Kitchen Makeover worth $12,000!
