Our trip to St. Lucia seems like it was years ago when in reality it was just a couple of months ago. It’s hard to imagine the warm ocean breeze, the cocktails, and the beautiful beaches when we’ve just slid into cool, fall weather here in Ohio. Looking back at our trip, there’s so much that I can share with you about our second resort of the week, Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa.
Upon Arrival and Accommodations
Upon arrival at the resort after a long day of sightseeing, we were greeted by drinks and cool washcloths and taken to a VIP check in area. The staff were incredible and answered our questions and even arranged to meet us later for a tour of the property. We were taken to our room where we selected our mini-bar beverages. In our premium room, we were gifted with two bottles of our choice of liquor – we chose Chairman’s Reserve rum and Jack Daniels. The fridge comes stocked, and is restocked daily, with bottled water, juice, various pops and Piton beer. We also had a welcome snack waiting for us!
Those touches made our resort experience so memorable! As you can see, when our bed was made, we were greeted with a new towel animal each time! I actually kept all of the notes our room service staff left us – I just couldn’t part with them!
I’m not even sure what to tell you about first! The resort itself is beautiful – palm trees, coconut trees, flowers, multiple pools, places for entertainment and relaxing. This was our first resort experience like this, and it was very different from our experience at Cap Maison. It was much more “resort” that a lot of people are used to – tons of activities, multiple pools and bars, entertainment every night, multiple dining options. To be honest, it was a little overwhelming at first but after we were familiar with all of our options, it was easy to fall into a routine and feel right at home.
My Favorite Thing About the Resort
One of my favorite things about Coconut Bay is that there are two sides – a family friendly side with a water park and an adults only side where it’s quiet. It’s fun to be on the active side but that adults only side is so relaxing and almost feel like a different resort! We spent a lot of our time on the adults only side, taking in the ocean and the sun and the cocktails.
Just look at that view! These sun-tracker beds were comfortable and could be shaded or let the sun shine. These were my favorite place to relax with a mudslide or daiquiri and a book! If I could just find a way to stay there all day, every day…
Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa is great for families or couples. We’d love to go back with the kids because of the waterpark, kids club (tons of activities!), and the on-site petting zoo! We know they would have a blast and be exhausted each night. With dining options ranging from buffet (with kid-friendly options) to reservation-required sit down restaurants, there’s something for everyone. The buffet was themed and there was always something new to try. That said, the corned beef hash at breakfast was on point and so good! I’m glad that was there every morning because it was that good.
I’ll share more photos of some of our experiences at Coconut Bay soon!
Thank you Coconut Bay for hosting my husband and I during our stay!
