Easy kid-friendly dessert spin on traditional taco salad

Ingredients

  • Cinnamon sugar tortilla cups, see below
  • Crumbled brownies
  • Diced fruits of choice
  • Ice cream of choice
  • Optional: Strawberry syrup, looks more like taco sauce, but use chocolate if you must!
  • In picture: No-Pudge brownie, strawberries, kiwi, mango, and chocolate ice cream)

Instructions

  1. Place a small scoop of ice cream inside cup
  2. Top ice cream with crumbled brownie (this resembles ground meat, doesn't it?!)
  3. Top with diced fruits (the strawberries look like diced tomatoes, the kiwi mimic green pepper or a jalapeno, and the mango? Shredded cheese!)
  4. Drizzle strawberry (or chocolate) syrup over top and enjoy!

Notes

The prep time will vary for everyone, depending on how many you need to make and how many little hands will be helping! Let the kids fill their own cup! Kids can even crumble their own brownie and layer how they please!

If you’ve never made cinnamon sugar tortillas (chips, strips, cups, etc) then here is a very simple recipe! Instead of cutting into chips, gently press each tortilla into a large muffin tin! Don’t worry about rips – kids love the drippy mess from their ice cream! :)
