Keep Good Going is the idea of perpetuating the personal good that positively affects everyone in your life (like family). It’s the good you want to pass on to others, either big showings or small efforts.
The Keep Good Going Life Lessons are little nuggets of wisdom that come from life experiences. Simple, but meaningful truths that hold life together.
The “The Happiest Daughter” video tells the story of how all families experience unexpected challenges, but more importantly, making the most of those experiences and learning from them.
As young parents, we faced a lot of criticism during the first years of being a family. We were constantly “put down” and told we’d never make it. We were facing an uphill battle against society that had deemed all young parents as misfits, as stupid, as just wanting to be lazy and receive welfare. We had a challenge ahead of us from the moment we found out we were pregnant.
My mom had always told me, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything.” so I reminded myself of that daily. People would stare, whisper things about us, and as much as I wanted to snap back and try to prove them wrong, I didn’t. Nothing I could say would be nice, so I kept quiet, held my head high and pushed on.
Life is tough, it’s no secret. We are given so many challenges each day, and each day when we put our heads on our pillows, we know that we’ve made it through. You can do this. Keep the good going in your life by holding your head high and pushing through. Your smile and confidence could help someone else.
