This baked pork tenderloin not only made the house smell amazing, but it was delicious and juicy and incredibly easy to do. I’m working with the Ohio Pork Council to show you just how easy it is to make delicious pork cuts at home!
Once you see how to bake a pork tenderloin, you’ll be able to get creative with seasonings and marinades to make any recipe your own. If you want to “cheat”, you can buy a pre-seasoned or marinated tenderloin – and no judgment here, I totally did it! It makes it even easier and great for busy nights.
How To Bake a Pork Tenderloin
The first thing you do for a baked tenderloin is preheat your oven to 375*F. I chose to use a glass baking dish simply because it would help contain all of the juices. You can either do the same or use a sheet pan or roasting pan.
While your oven is preheating, you will want to season your tenderloin. The Ohio Pork council website has a few great recipes for tenderloin, so if you are starting with an unseasoned or un-marinated cut of meat, gather your ingredients and season.
My pork tenderloin is a garlic and herb marinaded one that I imagine is similar to this one.
Once your tenderloin is seasoned, you place it in your baking dish or pan and will bake it for 30-35 minutes PER POUND. This is important! Your internal temperature should reach 145*F, so you will need a meat thermometer as well.
After the tenderloin has reached an internal temperature of 145*F, remove from the oven and let it rest. DON’T TOUCH IT! I know, it smells amazing and you are hungry but let the meat rest for 10 minutes. Once well-rested, slice into 1-inch slices and enjoy!
See? It’s easy to bake a pork tenderloin that has a delicious flavor and goes with many side dishes. Don’t be afraid to try this at home!
