Backyard Baseball and Water Balloon Target Practice

Do you know what these supplies are for? You’ll never guess. We put together a great boredom busting backyard game for the kids that involved baseball, water balloons and chalk paint. It was a HIT. Pun not intended.
I wrote out all of the directions and ways to spice things up over on the Let’s Play website, where I’m a Play Ambassador. You’ll definitely want to try this activity – it gets everyone moving!

The very first step is getting your targets ready and one of the coolest activities we’ve tried – chalk painting! You can make it yourself or totally cheat and find the chalk already in a powder that you just add water too. I’m glad I picked a container of it up last fall when it was on clearance, it was a great find! You just need some bowls and old paintbrushes and then you can go crazy with painting whatever you want because it all washes off the next time it rains or when you spray it with the hose!

You have to see my kids trying this for the first time. I ran through the setup with them and they just brought it to life on their own.

Doesn’t that look like tons of fun? Be sure to get the full directions and supplies list on LetsPlay.com! We’ll be busy mixing up more paint for more targets (don’t you love our shapes/ Hey, keep the learning going all summer long!) and filling more water balloons if you need us!
