Arriving in Saint Lucia in Style – Helicopter Airport Transfer

Sharing is caring!

St Lucia Helicopter airport to resort transfer

I still can’t believe that this happened. That we ran off to SAINT LUCIA for a week in paradise! It was an incredible trip from the moment we landed at the airport, and I knew that I wanted to kick off the trip with something truly unforgettable. While researching, I learned that the drive from the airport to our first resort, Cap Maison, would be almost 2 hours. Whoa! After traveling all day, I didn’t want to be stuck in car. So I did what any normal person does and I booked us a HELICOPTER transfer – 10 minutes of “I’m going to die” followed by a short drive to the resort.

Worth. It.

Just look at that view! Flying over pretty much the entire south to north length of Saint Lucia was just incredible. It was thrilling, it was magical, it was stomach in your throat what the heck am I doing. It was a great way to see the island and the pilot we had pointed out several features to us including banana plantations, some illegal unmentionables, and various villages. We also went through a little bit of rain!

We (actually, I, hubs had no idea we were doing this) booked the helicopter transfer through our resort, which you may be able to do as well. You can also visit St. Lucia Helicopters for more information and to contact them. They offer airport transfers, tours and even photography charters which would be so fun!

We did not do a private transfer and shared the ride with another couple but they were great! They were just as excited (nervous, maybe?) and other than us in the helicopter there was the pilot and co-pilot. It was a great experience and I think I would for sure do it again! I wonder where else we can visit and go on a helicopter ride…?

Take a look at this video to see some of Saint Lucia like we did! I highly suggest starting off your Saint Lucia trip with a helicopter transfer – there is nothing like your heart pounding in your chest and flying through the air!
