Air Fryer Fried Pickles: The Budget-Friendly, Crowd-Pleasing Appetizer You Need

Sharing is caring!

There are so many great kitchen gadgets and small appliances out there, but the air fryer is probably one of the coolest to have! There are 3 big reasons everyone should have an air fryer in their kitchen.

  1. Crispy without the grease: Craving restaurant-style fried food without the guilt? Air fryers use hot air circulation to achieve a crispy texture with significantly less oil than traditional deep frying, making them a healthier alternative.
  2. Versatility beyond snacks: From perfectly browned wings and roasted vegetables to baking small cakes and reheating leftovers, air fryers offer surprising versatility. Imagine a single appliance tackling appetizers, sides, and even desserts!
  3. Convenience and speed: Preheating an oven can take ages, but air fryers heat up quickly and cook food in record time. Plus, their compact size and easy cleanup make them a kitchen-friendly choice for busy lifestyles.

These beautiful air fryer fried pickles are fresh from an air fryer, not a pan of oil or the oven! They are crisp and tart and the perfect appetizer for any party or gathering you are having.

Forget boring appetizers! Air-fried pickles are here to steal the show with their addictive crunch and tangy flavor. They’re so easy to make, you’ll wonder why you ever reached for frozen ones again. And speaking of convenience, air fryers are kitchen game-changers! Crispy, delicious food without the grease? Yes, please!

  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 container of seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp of oil

Instructions

  1. Remove pickles from the jar and dry off using a paper towel or dish towel.
  2. If pickles are whole, slice them into ¼ in - ½ in slices.
  3. Next, make your egg wash using ½ cup milk and 1 egg. Mix together.
  4. Place ¼ - ½ of the container of bread crumbs into a bowl.
  5. Dip the pickle slices or spears into the egg wash, ensuring both sides are coated.
  6. Now, place the pickle into the bread crumbs. Once coated on one side, flip to coat the other side.
  7. Use the oil to coat on the basket to prevent sticking.
  8. Place all breaded pickles into basket and place basket inside the cooker.
  9. Set temperature to 392 and set timer to 15 minutes.
  10. Be sure to flip the pickles half way thru and ALWAYS read fryer directions before using.
  11. Once timer rings, remove basket CAREFULLY and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
