Why The RV Lifestyle Is Perfect For Digital Nomads

Sharing is caring!

Of the 34 million Americans who work remotely, some 18 million class themselves as digital nomads, mixing their lust for travel with their professional requirements for a lifestyle that’s big on fun and adventure.

However, while the idea of working from anywhere can sound like a dream, there are some practical and logistical considerations that can make it more difficult than you might expect, especially in some regions and for some travel types.

RVing removes many of those challenges, offering digital nomads the chance to have an adventure lifestyle while also having the comforts of home. In this post, we’ll outline some of the key reasons why every digital nomad might just find that RVing is exactly what they’ve been looking for.

RVs Are a Moveable Office

Some people dream of completing their work duties while lounging at the beach, but that thought ignores one simple truth: working at the beach sucks. To get work done, you need a comfortable space and a flat surface. An RV can more than meet those needs, essentially functioning as an office (and a kitchen/bedroom/home) on wheels.

RV Parks Have Quality Amenities

An RV has virtually everything you need to survive on the road. A great RV park, meanwhile, will have everything you need to thrive on the road. Modern RV parks come jam-packed with amenities that are ideal for long-term digital nomads, including on-site WiFi, laundry facilities, business centers, and general stores. Many of them even have additional luxury touches, such as swimming pools.

It’s not hard to see the benefits of staying long-term in such an environment. After all, you’ll have the perfect space in which to get work done.

There’s a Sense of Community

One of the drawbacks of being a digital nomad is that it can be lonely. It’s not always easy to immediately make connections with other people when you first land in a new city. In some destinations, it can take months.

RV parks aren’t cities. They’re more like villages. Once landed, you’ll find that there are plenty of like-minded people staying at the park, and that makes it much easier to build connections. You can think of it as offering all the advantages of a co-working space, just in the great outdoors.

You Can Have Fun When Not Working

Tired of getting home from work, quickly making dinner, and getting into bed? Then the RV lifestyle might just be for you. Most RV parks have plenty of awesome nearby attractions (it’s often why the RV park is there in the first place) that are just waiting to be explored. You might finish work at 5 pm, and by 6 pm, be diving into a refreshing waterfall that’s a 45-minute hike from your RV.

It Can Be More Cost-Efficient

Finally, not only does RVing offer so much, but it can also be a cost-effective way to live once you have the RV, since the monthly cost of staying at an RV park is often much cheaper than renting an apartment.
