The Easiest Mom Hack Ever For Battling After School Germs

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and NicePak, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #nicencleanwipes  http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

I kid you not that when school starts is when my kids start to pick up bad habits and bad germs. They come inside and immediately throw their coats and bags and shoes around, they start rifling through papers and getting drinks and snacks and I stand there in the middle of a tiny tornado of chaos and want them to just stop for two minutes to wash their hands. That’s all I ask – come inside, wash your hands and then we can do the dang thing.

Mom hacks are a way of life once you have 3 kids, so I knew that I could combat this issue with a very simple but very effective “hack” that I call the “dump station”. Head into your local CVS to purchase Nice ‘n CLEAN Antibacterial Hand Wipes 5 X 20ct. Family Value Pack today and get started with this hack!

Stocked with Nice ‘n CLEAN Wipes, right inside the front door they can sit down to take off shoes, give their hands a thorough wipe all while still telling me about their day and what they ate at lunch. It’s simple to implement, and if you start on the very first day of school, it will only take a couple of weeks of the same routine for it to become a healthy habit. It’s a little sanity saver that anyone can do in their home.

We’ve had this bench for YEARS but it almost always was covered with junk mail, or packages, or random storage bin lids and I finally had enough. It was the perfect spot for them to sit, and with the cubbies underneath we can add a couple of baskets for shoes and things like scarves, gloves, hats, etc. Think about your own space and what you can use that you already own before buying a special piece of furniture.

Next, I made it very known that we’d be using Nice ‘n CLEAN Antibacterial Hand Wipes, so I bought the 5×20 Family Value Pack and it stays there. I’m serious, don’t move it. Buy another pack for your on-the-go needs, but keep these in your “dump station” area so everyone knows where they are. You can also ask visitors to use them, especially during cold and flu season! Considering the wipes clean 99.99% of germs, you won’t be coming inside unless you do a quick wipe of both hands!

Something else about the wipes that I want to make a special note about is that they are proven to remove 99% of peanut residue from hard surfaces. For anyone with peanut allergies, this is a great thing and these wipes should be in your bag all the time!

Mom hacks don’t have to be a huge production, and in fact, the more you keep it simple the more likely you and the kids are going to follow through with it. Try setting up your own little station in your home:

  1. Find a place near the main entrance to keep coat rack, a couple of hooks, etc. and a pack or two of wipes (we found ours at CVS in the allergy section)
  2. Start. Using. It. You’ll have to remind them, but after a few times they will just come in, go through the motions and have clean hands before they start fumbling with snacks and cups and every doorknob and handle in the house. It’s worth it, mom!
