The Advantages Of Having A Nanny

Sharing is caring!

When it comes to childcare, there are options that you need to weigh up before you decide on what is right for your family. Whether you’re looking for

One to one care

This is the one aspect that stands apart from placing your children into daycare, as they will be benefiting from one to one care. They will develop a more intimate bond with your child and be able to build a strong rapport with them. They will be able to get to know them well enough, so that they can attend to their needs efficiently. As the first five years of development are crucial, they can be there to provide individual attention much better than a daycare center.

Children feel more secure

As your nanny will live in your home, your kids will become familiar with them and they’ll instantly feel more at ease.  You will also be free to leave for work when you need to, rather than having to work around your providers opening and closing times, giving you peace of mind.

The Nanny can vacation with you

If you’re wanting some help on your family travels and are keen to have some adult time, then you can always take them along with you to ensure you get that down time, if your nanny is agreeable to this. It won’t be a vacation in the same sense as it is for your family, as they are being paid to care for your child, but nevertheless, they may be more than willing to travel to new places with you.

Your child/children are less likely to get sick

Although we all want to build up the immune systems in our children, it’s never nice when they bring home germs from spending time with lots of other children in a confined space. You can determine what other children they mix with and decide what daily activities they participate in with the nanny.

It also means that you shouldn’t have to take sick days when your child is unwell. Where you would normally get charged for the day in day care, your nanny will be around to help care for your child.  It’s also important to understand your nanny tax and payroll obligations using the GTM’s nanny tax calculator.

Days can be varied

You can aid their personal, social and physical development by ensuring the nanny gives them a rich and varied day. No two days need to be the same and there will be more time to go exploring, attend playgroups and take educational visits. Even a trip to the shops can be considered more cultured that being in one setting all day and often more fun to see the world go by.

They can help with household chores

As they are around in the home, they can help with day to day tasks such as washing and cooking if you need them to. They are primarily there to look after your children’s needs but many nanny’s take on extra responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of your home.
