If you follow any one of my social media accounts, you know that I sort of complain about always being busy, having a lot of work to do, never getting to rest. It’s true, I’m a busy person. With that, some people would assme that I’m also super unorganized, papers everywhere, no idea what day it is…
Oh wait, that IS true.
But when it comes to my kids and making sure we don’t miss the school bus because of a busy morning, I try to stay on top of it. That’s why, having any kind of checklist or list and a routine to follow the night BEFORE, has been a life changer.
When I don’t prepare – things like having a uniform washed and dried, homework not complete, papers unsigned – it sets the tone for teh day. There’s chaos, there’s running around trying to find a pen, get the uniform in the dryer, “Hurry up and eat so you can finish your homework!” and by the end of it? I’m exhausted.
With a list and making sure to do certain things the night before, we don’t have to deal with a frantic mom!
