Working from home does tend to become very routine and predictable. Even when a curveball is thrown, like a sick child staying home from school, it’s been done before so even THAT routine falls into place. For anyone who works from home or remotely, you notice those patterns and feel yourself slipping into a sort of rut, but you don’t have to. There are incredibly simple things that you can do that seem to really change your surroundings that have a positive effect on your attitude, your concentration, and your workflow.
Another thing I like to change up is what I reach for when it’s time for a treat. I like to try new things, so when I heard about these new Creamy SNICKERS® squares, I knew I would have to give them a try.
I grew up with SNICKERS, quite literally too! My mom would stop to get gas for the car when she was pregnant with me and run in for a SNICKERS bar. Later, that smell of gasoline would trigger her SNICKERS craving haha! So I’ve been enjoying them since I was teeny tiny and they’ve always been a favorite candy bar of mine.
To me, the Creamy SNICKERS® Peanut Butter taste exactly the same as a regular SNICKERS, but there’s no crunch from the peanuts! It’s soft and creamy and pretty perfect. Each bar has two servings which is more than enough for that satisfying smooth, creamy treat.
Let’s get back to those small changes I mentioned. I’m talking super simple stuff to change your routine for a little something extra and to embrace whatever comes your way.
- A new way to work or school (or the store, or anywhere). Take a new street, go down an extra block. For me, I walk the kids to school so any time I change which way we go there’s something new to see. In the fall, we saw different leaves, in the spring it’s different flowers. It’s extra steps and maybe an extra minute or two to let them talk about their day, or what they hope to do at recess with friends.
- Move your workspace. If you work from home, this is easy enough to do every few days. Try a different desk setup, move from the kitchen, head outside when the weather is nice enough. If you work in an office away from home, see if you can rotate your desk. Rearrange your desk, bring in new pictures, do something to change the flow of things and you’ll notice a big difference.
- Try new foods and drinks. If you have a coffee routine, change it up. If you drink a lot of water, add some flavor. Skip the crunch and try a Creamy SNICKERS®!
