There’s nothing worse than the joy on those sweet little faces on Christmas morning as they rip into the pretty wrapping paper and someone’s little voice says, “Do we have batteries?” and it hits you. You forgot the batteries. All those toys now have to sit and wait until the stores are back open. It’s a nightmare every parent dreads.
We also dread not having any coffee prior to the destroying of the living room, and that is the second most important thing that is required for a successful Christmas morning. I can’t remember a single Christmas morning where we didn’t have to wait for the coffee to brew and cups to be poured before we could start opening presents.
are an easy thing to stock up on prior to Christmas. Add them to the bottom of stockings, keep them by the coffee pot, stash them in the junk drawer, hide them all over the house, whatever you need to do.

Can you believe that in a study of more than 1000 people, NINETY PERCENT of them said they forgot the batteries at Christmas? I think everyone has at least once forgotten the batteries, it happens. You can really prevent forgetting them though.
Go into your phone and add a calendar reminder for 2 weeks before Christmas to stock up on batteries! Boom! It’s as easy as that. Grab a couple packs of various sizes or keep a running note on your phone so that when you purchase a toy, you keep track of the kind of batteries and how many are needed so you don’t come up short on Christmas morning.
If you are giving a gift that requires batteries, include them with the gift. I can’t imagine how excited I would have been to see the kids get a toy and the batterie for it at the same time! What a life saver.
