I’m a birthday party freak. I LOVE to plan them. I love to go all out and do the food, the cake, the favors, the decorations, I just love all of it. What I don’t love though, is the stress and craziness and the “oh my god, what was I thinking?!” moments of planning a party. So when our awesome Goldfish Swim School family wanted us to have a birthday party for all three kids – with all of the planning done by them – I was absolutely on board!
When I say “done-for-you”, I mean it. We were given invitations to give out and that was it. When we arrived, the place was decorated, the pool was ready, we had lifeguards in place, cupcakes, all of it. We ordered pizza since our party was from 3pm to 5pm, and just like that, we had this awesome pool party for the kids and their friends! There was no planning or preparation needed from me, it was so stress-free!
What I most loved was that our instructor (and owner) Andrew was right there in the water with the kids, acting like a kid himself most of the time.
The staff brought out all kinds of fun pool floats and toys and that boat right there was the HIT of the party – everyone wanted to be in it! Andrew was so great making sure everyone got time with it. I promise you then even though the girls look scared, they really did enjoy it!
Having three birthdays so close is fun, don’t get me wrong, but it can be financially draining. If the kids are okay with a combined party, then I am happy! The pool at Goldfish is so big, the kids could spread out and have as much fun as they wanted, so different age groups wasn’t a big deal.
You don’t have to be a member of Goldfish Swim School to have a party there, so it’s a great way to see the facility and learn about what the offer while the kids swim and have cupcakes.
If you’re local to Dayton, Ohio, be sure to swing by the Lyons Road location and say hi to our Goldfish family! You really should check it out!
