How To Be A Bit More Gentle With Yourself In The Mornings

Sharing is caring!

Are you the kind of person who hates mornings? You’ve got to get up early, you’re always in a rush, things always feel a bit more mad than they really should, and the chaos tires you out before it’s even hit 11am.

When you have mornings like this, you’re obviously going to find it very difficult to enjoy the early part of the day! But you can try to be a bit more gentle with yourself in the mornings, no matter what it is you need to ‘get on with’.

All you need to do is think about shifting the focus you put on things between 7 and 9am. And while that’s easier said than done, there are quite a few ways you can try it out. Here’s just a few for you to think about.

Try to Wake Up Slowly

It’s the hardest thing we’re going to ask you to do, and that’s why it’s first up on the list! Instead of sleeping until your alarm starts blaring, shocking you awake, and making you feel like you’re not ready for the day, think about a slower approach to waking up.

You can try this by swapping out your current curtains for smart curtains, which slowly start to open up as the sun comes up. Or if you’d rather, you could use a sunlight lamp to get the same effect.

Have Mushroom Coffee Instead

Are you a morning coffee drinker? Then you probably wouldn’t ever consider going through your morning routine without a cup of coffee in your hand. And that’s fine, you don’t have to give it up!

But we want to encourage you to try out a different kind of coffee first thing in the morning. Because your classic Americano with all the creamer (and plenty of sugar) might be tasty, but it might not be as healthy as you really need it to be.

Why not give mushroom coffee a go and see how you feel? Drink Neubrain mushroom coffee in the morning and you might find that you feel a bit less foggy upstairs, as well as a bit more energetic in facing the day ahead.

And don’t worry about a disgusting ‘planty’ taste here either; these coffee blends are made to be just as good as the traditional stuff.

Get Some Sunlight

Sunlight is the one thing that’ll wake you up better than anything else. Our bodies are primed to react to sunlight, and if it’s coming in through the window, you’re naturally going to start rousing.

However, once you’re awake, why not actually head outside into your garden or onto the balcony and get some more of that sunshine? Early morning sun doesn’t tend to be too hot, but it can certainly help you feel happier, less sleepy, and like the world is your oyster.

A gentle morning routine is what a lot of morning-haters really need! Be kinder to yourself, take a bit more time, and get some sunshine!
