I don’t know about you, but I love a good french fry, especially if I’m kicking back to catch our favorite team on TV. Crispy edges, soft inside, and in that case, loaded with my favorite pizza toppings! I was inspired by some recent food truck offerings I’ve seen and thought, “You can totally make these at home!”, so here we are. Food truck style pizza fries, perfect for a night in or for a crowd!

It’s perfect timing to head to Walmart to load up on game day fare, so when you pick up your McCain ® products, until 5/31/19, you can get $1.50 off when you purchase 2 participating McCain products at Walmart. You can submit your rebate & learn more details here!

I picked up three of my McCain favorites: McCain® Smiles® Mashed Potato Shapes, McCain® Craft Beer Battered Thin Cut Fries, and McCain® Seasoned Curly Fries Seasoned Potato Fries. The beer battered thin cut fries sounded perfect for these pizza fries, so after baking them per the instructions on the bag, it was time to get busy with toppings. If you plan this perfectly, you’ll be enjoying these cheesy, saucy, pepperoni covered fries right as your game kicks off!

If serving these to a crowd, consider setting out a variety of pizza toppings and letting everyone make their own creation, then finish them off in the oven for a few minutes to melt the cheese! Bake your fries and keep them all in one dish, add some tongs for ease, and just let everyone be their own food truck chef!

Grab some to-go dishes and you could make these at home and take with you if attending a game with friends! You can make these with McCain® Smiles® Mashed Potato Shapes for the younger crowd at your party (or for the kids at heart). The fun shapes make anyone happy! Can you just imagine the cheese melting over the soft potato shapes that are crisp on the outside and tender inside? Oh man, they are just begging to be a part of any game day dishes you can get them into!

Don’t forget about the rebate! Shopping at Walmart makes planning for a game day party easy considering you can pick up everything you need: plates, cups, trash bags, food, drinks, literally everything.

If there is anything that I would add to plus these up a bit, it would be a sprinkle of red pepper flakes and some Parmesan cheese. I still have some McCain products in my freezer and quite a few games still to catch… guess I’ll get back in the kitchen to try new variations! What will you top your McCain potatoes with?
