With kids who seem to be eating all the time, I love recipes like this where I can mix up a big bowl of trail mix, portion it out, and have snacks for days! This is an easy kid’s trail mix with lots of their favorites and it’s incredibly easy to make substitutions based on their tastes or even just what is on sale that week.
What I love the most is that this trail mix is easy enough that the kids themselves can mix it together. You should let them, too! They can find the ingredients, measure them out, mix together and even portion into baggies all on their own.
There are a LOT of various ingredients you can mix in, so it will never get boring! By keeping a variety of things on hand, you can mix up a trail mix anytime and tailor it for your needs. Leave chocolate out if you don’t want a melty mess. Leave out any allergens that you need to.
Like I said, this recipe is too easy so feel free to mix up your own version!
