There’s something about so delicious about warm muffins straight from the oven, it’s easy to want to make them every day! The kids especially love having muffins, so when they saw me in the kitchen and the muffin pan out, let’s just say they were excited for what was coming.
I tend to use boxed muffin mixes often, so this homemade crumble topping is a great way to elevate those store-bought mixes and give them something extra. I was blown away by how much better these muffins tasted – the topping was out of this world! It was also an added bonus to add Land O Lakes® Soft Squeeze™ Spread to the top and for the kids to be able to add their own easily.
This recipe is very easy, so if you have a favorite muffin mix you always use, give it a try! My muffins might not look the prettiest, but their flavor is so on point. This new jumbo muffin pan is my favorite thing – I have been using a mini muffin pan since those are easy for the kids to grab and go but JUMBO muffins are a MUST. More crumble topping and more Land O Lakes® Soft Squeeze™ Spread can go on top!

Homemade Crumble Topping for Muffins
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 4 tbsp Land O Lakes® Soft Squeeze™ Spread
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together until crumbly.
- Divide amongst the top of 6 jumbo muffins (pre-baked) and lightly press into batter.
- Bake muffins as directed.
