Easy Freezer Crock Pot Meals

Think about whatever you enjoy putting in the crock pot for dinner and imagine this – you can usually make it into a freezer meal too! Some tips for successful freezer crock pot meals include:

  • Good Ziploc bags or glass containers to lock out freezer burn.
  • A dedicated chunk of time to put together all of the meals.
  • A good inventory of your pantry and adequate shopping list to make sure you have all of the ingredients ahead of time.
  • Freezer room – clean it out!

Here are some of my favorite dishes to prepare for the freezer to eventually go in the crock pot. There is nothing easier than opening the ziplock and tossing the innards into the crock pot – barely any time on my part!

Italian Chicken Dish

  • 4 chicken breasts, trimmed and sliced into strips
  • 1 bottle of Italian dressing
  • carrots, however you like them
  • any other veggies you desire

Place the dressing, veggies and chicken in the bag and zip it up. When the day comes, prepare rice 20-30 minutes ahead of time and serve!

Thai Chicken and Noodles

  • 4 chicken breasts, trimmed and sliced into strips
  • 1 bottle of pad thai sauce
  • 1-2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 zucchini, chopped
  • 1 small onion, sliced

Place the sauce, veggies and chicken in the bag and zip it up. If you’d like crunchier veggies – you can seal them in a separate bag and add them in while you are cooking up the noodles before serving.

Savory Chicken and Rice

  • 2 Cups Chicken Broth
  • Bag of Frozen Veggies (peas, carrots, corn, etc.)
  • 2 Chicken Breasts, trimmed and cut into chunks

Place chicken broth, veggies and chicken chunks into the bag and zip it up. This might be a good one to freeze in a glass dish because of the liquids. You can also add in noodles when you place everything into the crock pot. Yum!
