Date Nights Are Important Even During The Holidays

We have a tradition that I really love when we get into the holiday season. Every year, Ian and I bust out the wrapping paper, gift bags, bows, scissors and tape and wrap presents after the kids have gone to bed. While we do this, we watch our list of favorite holiday movies. You know, the more adult holiday movies not meant for little eyes (or ears) full of humor and Christmas spirit. It’s perfect and it’s really what gets me into the holiday spirit.

A really great way to turn this task into something even more fun is to plan on a late dinner, one we can pick up easily and not spend a fortune on.

Stopping at Kroger, we can pick up a ready-to-heat pizza from the deli area and grab some Diet Coke® and take advantage of being loyalty members and purchase the pizza for $5.99 and save $1 off a 1.25L Coca-Cola™ beverage or 1L DASANI® (making the drink nearly free)! Sounds like a deal to me!

The holiday season is crazy busy from Thanksgiving to January, but it doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice those date nights, you just have to get creative. We even consider shopping for gifts as a date, especially if it’s just the two of us and we can just go from store to store and buy what we need and browse what we don’t. I wish we lived in a warmer climate, so we could bake our pizza, pour a glass of Diet Coke, and sit by a fire in the backyard late at night. It doesn’t take much to plan something like that.

You can take advantage of the pizza and Coca-Cola™ deal until 1/3/18, making it the perfect dinner for date night or those busy nights when the kids have school holiday programs!

If you love a crispy crust on your pizza, absolutely put the pizza directly on the oven rack or use a pizza pan that has the holes for ventilation. Oh, the crispy crust on our pizza was amazing! If you don’t have a pizza pan with the holes (if it has a name, please tell me!) you need to get one, it’s awesome.

Next time you run into Kroger for more tape or wrapping paper, pick up a ready-to-heat pizza and a Coca-Cola product! You have to!
