When you bring your little one to your vehicle for the first time, fresh from the hospital, the first thing that you worry about is more than likely the safety of the seat you or your partner has installed. Is it secure? Will it protect my precious little one in an impact collision? Is it comfortable? Can I trust it?
We’re on our third little one, and along the way we’ve used plenty of seats and learned SO much about car seat safety and what brands we can trust. When we had our first car accident, I immediately knew that the seats we had in the car were done. Cut the straps, they’d served their purpose but were now a risk.
With Britax, I’ve always loved the quality of their seats. From the sturdy straps, to the cushions and easy installation, Britax is a top pick and my recommendation for a safe seat.
The seat features a base with SafeCell Technology features SafeCells designed to compress in a crash, significantly lowering the center of gravity and counteracting the forward rotation of the child seat which normally propels the child toward the front seat.
Integrated Steel Bars strengthen the connection to the vehicle and reduce forward flexing of the child seat during a crash.
Energy-Absorbing Versa-Tether features a staged-release tether webbing to slow the forward movement, reducing the crash forces reaching the child, and a two-point attachment to minimize forward rotation while anchoring the top of the child seat.
My thoughts about the features of this seat:
First, I’m no expert, so this is based solely on my experience with adjusting the seat for my daughter and installing it.
“Quick-Adjust Harness repositions the harness shoulder height without disassembling the harness straps.”
This was really neat! I absolutely despise having to take apart a seat to make any kind of adjustment to it, so being able to just squeeze the handle and adjust? Awesome!
“Tangle-Free, Five-Point Harness distributes crash forces across the strongest parts of the body and provides a secure fit.”
Squirmy kids and trying to get them in and out quickly in pouring rain can so quickly lead to tangled and twisted straps and a headache. I can’t count how many times I’ve had to untwist the harness… ugh. So this is a huge plus!
There are so many features to this seat, including it’s sleek design, that I can’t possible list everything. If you’d like more information, visit http://www.britaxusa.com/car-seats.

A note from Dad on the installation: Easy! The LATCH system makes it very easy to take this seat and transfer it to another (like a grandparent’s) and know that it’s secure no matter what vehicle it’s in.
