We went to an elective 3D/4D ultrasound on Friday, 11-11-11 while on a mini vacation to Columbus, specifically to find out gender. You see, at my last doctor’s appointment they couldn’t find the baby’s heartbeat with the doppler so I was given a quick ultrasound. Baby, of course, was fine, just bopping all over the place. The technician did the usual measurements (measured right on track), and I asked if it would be possible to look at gender. She said at 14 weeks, it may not be very clear, but we could look at the “angle of the dangle”. THIS website explains it perfectly. The tech said based on what she saw, that she was 85% certain it was a girl. So at 14 weeks, we had a pretty good guess.
On Friday, there was definitely no little penis between those legs! When we had ultrasounds for B and G, it was VERY clear they were boys, so to not see that on Friday put us over the moon!
I’ve already been shopping, and I did not realize how different the girl’s side of the store is. It’s so pink, and flowery, and cute and sparkly. There are dresses, skirts, leggings, sweaters, cardigans, headbands – there are OPTIONS! Don’t get me wrong, the boys side has some cute things, but not nearly as many options.

So after two boys, we get to have our little girl!
