Seven Weeks Left Until She Arrives

Sharing is caring!

We’re seven weeks away.

Seven.

In seven weeks we welcome our third baby into this world.

*scream*

That’s an excited scream. And a nervous one. There’s so much to do around the house. We took a small load to Goodwill this weekend, but there’s still so much to go through. I easily did the ‘100 things’ challenge yesterday alone with throwing out papers, magazines, and everything we took to Goodwill. I would like for B to go through his toys and weed out some. Yes, I know that if we hang on to them Baby G can play with them, but there’s some things that haven’t been played with in forever and I’m sure he would agree that there’s a little boy out there who doesn’t have as many toys and would very much appreciate a special “new” toy. Even if I could just sort and organize some things better, that might help the clutter monster.

So with seven weeks to go, we have to get serious about meal prep. I’m thinking we’ll do some easy things…

  • Bagel pizzas (including some dairy-free ones for easy lunch/dinner that DH can handle)
  • Breakfast items (burritos, pancakes, maybe french toast)
  • Pasta
  • Chicken (precooked chunks to toss into salad, or serve with fruits and a baked potato or something), and shredded to make into burritos. Maybe some breasts frozen in marinade that can be tossed on the grill, DH would enjoy some grilling if it’s not too cold
  • Ground beef, browned… just add taco seasoning and we can have tacos or nachos
  • Burgers – A big juicy, hot off the grill burger and fries sounds awesome, so I’ll make sure we have some ready to go in the freezer

I’m also going to make sure that I redo the pantry a bit so that all of B’s snacks are easy for him to get to, or even pre-packaged for him to just grab and be able to open himself. Anything I can do to make the first weeks at home easier, I plan to do!

I’ll round up some recipes that I’m going to utilize and share them in another post!

Let the countdown begin!
