Late-Night Feedings Coming Soon

Sharing is caring!

I will admit, I miss having cable. With the baby coming in just under 8 weeks, I know I will be up in the middle of the night and there will be absolutely nothing on to watch. We get maybe five channels, so there will be a variety of infomercials I’m sure, but nothing of decent quality.

I remember the late nights with Baby G, watching DVR’d shows or Food Network. It helped me stay awake while nursing, and just kept me company since the hubs would be passed out cold. I’d flip through, finding reruns of all sorts of shows. We liked to watch Pawn Stars, that show where people bring in valuable items (like 100 ounce silver bars) or completely random junk hoping to make a quick buck. There would be cooking shows about desserts, which always made me hungry. I’d pass up cartoons, news, CSPAN, most of the time just flipping the channel after a second or two with a free hand.

We have Netflix, so I wonder if I should just keep it on (the XBOX) and just flip the TV off when not watching. Maybe I can work my way through the rest of One Tree Hill or another series? I want to attempt breastfeeding again (see THIS post for why it was rough last time) so I am planning on lots of late-night boob and tube.

What did you do during the middle-of-the-night feedings? Were you a tv watcher, a book reader, a star-at-the-wall’er?
