What To Pack For Your Beach Vacation

What To Pack For Your Beach VacationDo you know what to pack for your beach vacation? I’m sure you have an idea or two, but this list will make sure you have everything you need and are ready for the best vacation of sand, sun, and water imaginable. From swimsuits to beach umbrellas you are sure to have a great fun filled vacation at the beach this year!

What To Pack For Your Beach Vacation

Multiple swimsuits. If you are planning on being at the beach for more than a few days, multiple swimsuits are a great idea. Not having to worry about which one is in the washer will help you to have just what you need handy when you decide you want to take a dip into the water. I am absolutely in love with these swimsuits below, and they are all available in plus sizes!

Sunscreen. This is obvious, but people still forget it. Pack great high SPF waterproof sunscreen and plenty of it. If you will be on the beach for multiple days with multiple family members you will need more than one bottle of sunscreen on hand. Make sure to pack plenty of sunscreen to last the duration of your vacation so you don’t have to worry about running out or paying high prices to local beach town stores.

Hats. Big floppy hats are great for adding just a little more protection to your most sensitive skin around your face, ears and neck. Ones with drawstrings are especially nice so if the wind grabs them, they still stay on your head or around your neck and don’t get lost. Check out these hats for some great ideas!

Water shoes. Sandals are great, but water shoes are even better for visiting beaches. They simply protect your feet better and are much easier to get in and out of the water in with no problems.

Beach umbrellas. Shade on the beach is so important. A good beach umbrella will provide everyone with a little shade to protect their skin, eyes and cut back on the direct heat. If your condo, resort or hotel doesn’t provide these, you can find them pretty inexpensively to bring with you.

Sunglasses. Don’t forget to protect your eyes. Make sure to bring along sunglasses for everyone in the family to wear and protect their eyes from the sun.

Large sheet or blanket. Fitted sheets are easy and great for using on the beach. Simply put something in each corner and let the sheet roll up around it keeping the sand off your beach blanket and making a simple and easy way to roll it up and carry home later on. You can also check out the different styles of beach blankets that allow sand to get through the fabric, keeping it clean.

Cooler with water and electrolyte drinks. Just because you are on the water doesn’t mean you don’t need to drink plenty of water. In fact, dehydration happens most often in the sun and water due to people not thinking about their internal need for water. A cooler with bottled water and electrolyte drinks like Powerade, Gatorade and similar are best. Juices and sodas aren’t as good for you to stay hydrated and should be saved for later.

Waterproof cases for phones, keys and wallets. From keeping your phone safe from water to your car keys and wallet from getting wet, these are a great way to protect your personal items.

These things to pack for your beach vacation will help you to have tons of fun in the sun without worry or stress!
