Tonight during a diaper change on Baby G, Chubbs stood watch (probably to see if I would be peed on… again), I started telling Baby G he had a cute belly button.
Me – “Such a cute little belly button!”
Chubbs – “Yea… (pause)… Hey, it’s gone!”
Me – “What, his umbilical cord?”
Chubbs – “Yea, it’s gone.”
Me – “Yep, it fell off. Yours did too when you were a baby.”
Chubbs – “It did?” (lifting shirt and touching his belly button)
Me – “Yep!”
Chubbs – “Like ba-BAM?!” (emphasis on the BAM)
Yes kiddo, the umbilical cord stump falls off with an enthusiastic ba-BAM!
