The end of summer is not a time to be lax on sun safety when it comes to kids. I know it’s harder with school starting and having outside recess, but you can make sure that after school, during sports and the weekends are covered. I’m actually really glad our swim lessons are inside, it’s one less time I have to worry about making sure three kids are protected with sunscreen!

La Roche-Posay has introduced their first ever sunscreen specifically made for kids, Anthelios 60 Dermo-Kids. The best thing about this sunscreen? It doesn’t smell weird! I didn’t notice a smell at all, and sadly, the little things impress me! This is one sunscreen that fits into any bag and applies easily, so there’s no reason to not apply it before sun exposure and having fun outside.

Beyond a trustworthy sunscreen, you can also do basic things to protect your family from the sun’s harmful rays.
- Avoid the sun during its peak times, typically 10a-2p. It’s not always possible so when you can’t, try to find a shady spot. Under a tree, an awning, an umbrella, anything will work.
- Wear UV-protection clothing or long sleeves and pants. Be sure to hydrate too!
- Wear a My UV Patch to understand your UV exposure and risk in real time. Then you can do what’s necessary to protect your skin. It requires that you download an app, but it’s pretty cool!

Use the to find La Roche-Posay at a CVS near you so you can end your summer safely. If you prefer online shopping, check out Amazon! Your family’s skin is important and as a mom, it’s our responsibility to make sure everyone is protected and learns how to apply their sunscreen as they get older. Definitely, enjoy the final days of summer, but be safe at the same time!
