Cupcake Rice Krispie Treats

Who doesn’t love the always fun rice krispie treat? You can add just about anything to them to make them colorful, or add more flavor. But what about using cookie cutters and an easy to follow set of instructions to turn regular treats into cute Cupcake Rice Krispie Treats?

These would be adorable for a birthday party, or classroom surprise! And – a great way to use up leftover sprinkles or the last of the jar. We have baskets of sprinkles, so we could make every cupcake different if we really wanted to.

Rice krispie treats are one of the first things anyone should learn in the kitchen. The instructions are easy, the ingredients are not expensive, and the reward of eating them is enough motivation to make them. If you haven’t made these with your kiddos yet, get in the kitchen and get melting and mixing. They will love to see how the big pot or bowl of sticky, gooey marshmallow covered cereal becomes a rectangular treat and then finally a cupcake shape. It’s the small things that excite me ;-)
