Back To School With Essential Oils

Back to school with essential oils

When kids are in school, moms want to do everything we can to help our children succeed! We get them up and make them breakfast. We help with last minute school projects. We volunteer for school functions. We help with homework. But did you know that there is one simple thing to do that you may not have thought about yet? It’s using essential oils!

Essential Oils have so much power in them! Each one has unique abilities to do things such as help concentration, energize, help calm down, improve memory, make it easier to focus and so much more! All you need is a few drops!

Essential Oils in the Morning

Essential Oils in the Morning

Start your morning off with essential oils!

These essential oils are great for helping you to wake up and be energized:

  • Peppermint
  • Lemon
  • Orange

My favorite oil to use in the morning is Thieves. Thieves oil amazing for keeping people healthy! There are so many germs at school. It seems like every other month a note is coming home about strep throat, the flu, or a request for more tissues to keep up with the runny nose demand! Using Thieves can help keep your child (and the rest of the family!) healthy. Just a little bit before you send your child off to school will have them getting perfect attendance without a problem!

Essential Oils for School

If your child has a big test or presentation coming up in school, there are a few essential oils that are great for curbing anxiety!

Try:

  • Frankincense (although this should not be used on infants and very young children!)
  • Lemon
  • Orange

Essential Oils in the Afternoon

Essential Oils in the Afternoon

In the afternoon when your child gets home they are ready to play! They have focused all day at school. The last thing they want to do is to sit down and have to do homework!

Use your diffuser and one of these oils to help:

  • Lemon (Did you know that there was a study done in Japan and while diffusing lemon errors were reduced by 54%! WOW!)
  • Basil
  • Peppermint

If your child is older you can dilute Rosemary and use it! Rosemary is great for mind clarity!

Essential Oils at Night

Essential Oils at Night

After a long, hard day a good night’s rest is in order! Sometimes I think they are so tired that it’s hard to fall asleep! A good nights sleep is essential not only for a happy child in the morning, but for your child’s body to grow and stay healthy!

To promote a good nights sleep, these are few essential oils you should pick up:

  • Lavender – We’ve all heard the powers of lavender! Spray your child’s pillows or sheets with this and they will quickly drift off to dream land!
  • Vetiver
  • Marjoram

This year when your child heads back to school make sure you are ready! Cross everything off your back to school list – notebooks, backpacks, paper, pencils, and essential oils! Try a few combinations and find what works best for your child to help them have the very best school year ever!
