Because these cookies are so easy, you could whip up a few dozen for the next bake sale and have a real winner for whatever you are raising funds for.

Chocolate Chip Cake Mix Cookies

Super easy and delicious chocolate chip cake mix cookies - that's right, these cookies are made from a store bought cake mix!

Ingredients

  • 1 box of yellow cake mix, any brand
  • 1/2 C. vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbs. flour
  • 1 - 12 oz package of chocolate chips, any brand

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine the yellow cake mix, oil, 2 eggs and flour mixing well.
  3. Add in about 3/4 of the chocolate chips - more if you want them REALLY chocolately.
  4. Use a tablespoon or a cookie scoop to scoop the cookie dough mixture and roll into about 2" balls using your hands.
  5. Place 2-3" a part on your baking sheet.
  6. Bake 8-10 minutes. Peek at them around 8 minutes to make sure they aren't burning. 8 minutes in my oven is perfect but my oven also runs hot.
  7. Makes about 2 dozen cookies.

Notes

If you use a SUGAR FREE cake mix and APPLESAUCE, you can make these cookies lower in sugar and calories (point friendly cookies)

I've made other cake mis recipes before, but these are by far the best ones. And so simple. I'm making for the third time and experimenting now with chocolate and butterscotch chips and pecan.

The recipe says 112 oz of chocolate chips. Am I right in assuming you meant 12oz? Otherwise that’s a LOT chocolate chips. Haha.

Haha! It's 12! You could certainly try 112 though ;-)
